Blow to Elon Musk! Tesla recalls Cybertrucks for the sixth time
Tesla has recalled 2,431 Cybertruck models in the US, citing that a loss of drive power could increase the risk of a collision.
Tesla is recalling 2,431 Cybertruck models in the United States. This marks the sixth recall the company has issued for the Cybertruck model. Last month, Tesla recalled more than 27,000 Cybertrucks due to a potential risk posed by a delay in the rearview camera feed.
In this latest recall, it is stated that the vehicle's loss of drive power increases the risk of a collision.
According to Tesla's report, a fault in the drive inverter of Cybertruck models produced between November 6, 2023, and July 30, 2024, may prevent torque production when the driver presses the accelerator pedal. This could lead to the vehicle losing propulsion and increase the risk of a collision.
Tesla will replace the recalled drive inverter with a functional component, and there will be no charge for this service.
TESLA HAS NOT DISCLOSED HOW MANY CYBERTRUCKS IT HAS DELIVERED
Following a two-year delay due to production and battery supply challenges, Tesla began delivering its futuristic Cybertruck model in 2023. However, specific production or delivery numbers for this model have not yet been disclosed.
