Can artificial intelligence influence our decision-making process?
Scientists have warned that AI-based systems could be used to influence various human decisions, ranging from what to purchase on online platforms to who to vote for.
"INTENT ECONOMY"
A study by researchers at the University of Cambridge examined a new digital market called the "intent economy," which is used to understand users' intentions online, predict what they will buy, and manipulate them by analyzing these intentions and selling the resulting information to companies.

Experts state that artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms monitor human behavior and can learn how to steer it.

IT CAN EVEN INFLUENCE YOUR POLITICAL VIEWS
The research noted that technology companies actively using artificial intelligence systems can store information regarding a user's various intentions, from their hotel accommodation plans to their opinions on a political candidate. It was stated that large language models, which form the foundation of AI tools, could influence users' decision-making stages based on "intent, behavior, and psychological data."

The study warned that artificial intelligence models could soon offer suggestions regarding users' future plans in real-time and manipulate those plans.
