Crash detection feature coming to Samsung's flagship phones

Samsung is reportedly planning to add a crash detection feature to its flagship smartphones. This feature detects traffic accidents and allows for calls to emergency services or designated contacts. Previously available on Google Pixel and iPhone models, this feature could be integrated into the Galaxy S24 series and the Galaxy Z Fold 5.

Sensors to be used for crash detection include an accelerometer, microphone, and location tracking sensors. However, beyond the hardware, it is important to develop solutions that prevent false alarms and do not impact battery life.

NO OFFICIAL STATEMENT YET

The "Car Crash Detect Wakeup" feature on Samsung's flagship phones was discovered during a user's review. However, there has been no official statement from Samsung on the matter so far. It is also noted that the application does not yet have a user-ready interface.
