Critical security vulnerability in Google Chrome! Cyberattack risk

Google Chrome, one of the world's most popular browsers, has put its users at risk due to a new security vulnerability.

This vulnerability stems from an "out-of-bounds read and write" error in Chrome's V8 JavaScript and WebAssembly engines, allowing malicious actors to cause corruption in system memory.

Discovered on May 27, 2025, by Clement Lecigne and Benoît Sevens of Google's Threat Analysis Group, this flaw allows attackers to gain remote control and perform malicious operations.

Google intervened quickly, releasing the necessary update within a day.

UPDATE REQUIRED

To ensure user safety, Google recommends updating to Chrome version 137.0.7151.68/.69 for Windows and macOS, and 137.0.7151.68 for Linux. Similar updates are also available for other Chromium-based browsers, including Microsoft Edge, Brave, Opera, and Vivaldi. It is of great importance for users to update their browsers as soon as possible to maintain their security.
