Doom run on gut bacteria

MIT biotechnology researcher Lauren Ramlan has succeeded in running the iconic computer game Doom on actual gut bacteria.
Ramlan created a display within a cell wall composed of E. coli bacteria to visualize the game. However, it was noted that the bacteria do not actually run the game, but rather only visualize the gameplay.
By providing the bacteria with fluorescent proteins, pixel-like light emissions were achieved. Although it was demonstrated that the game could be displayed on the bacteria, it was noted that it is impossible to actually play the game using this method, as it takes 70 minutes to generate a single frame and eight hours to return to the initial state.
In this scenario, it was stated that playing the game from start to finish would take approximately 600 years. Doom has been observed running in various environments before, but this instance of running it on bacteria demonstrates that the game can run almost anywhere.
