Elon Musk announces: Two new subscription tiers coming to X
Elon Musk has announced that the social media platform X will soon launch two new premium subscription options.
Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, who recently announced that new users will now pay 1 dollar per year for Twitter—which he renamed X—has now provided information about two new premium memberships.
In a post on X, Musk stated the following:
“One is lower cost with all features, but no reduction in ads, and the other is more expensive, but with no ads.”

Earlier this week, the company began charging new users in New Zealand and the Philippines 1 dollar per year. On the company's website, it was stated that new users who choose not to subscribe will only be able to perform actions such as reading posts, watching videos, and following accounts.
It was stated that the application was introduced to combat bots and spam accounts.
Since taking over the platform in October 2022, the changes Musk has made, including mass layoffs and the dismantling of content moderation teams, have caused advertisers to pause their ads on the platform.
Musk has acknowledged that the platform's revenue has taken a hit, and while he began charging 8 dollars a month for the blue check subscription service to generate new revenue, he has also been trying to bring advertisers back to X with discounted offers.
