Elon Musk's Neuralink secures $600 million investment
Elon Musk's neurotechnology company, Neuralink, has secured $600 million in a funding round that valued the company at $9 billion. The company aims to revolutionize the treatment of neurological diseases with its brain implants.
Neuralink, founded by Elon Musk in 2016, has drawn attention by securing $600 million in its latest funding round.
While the company's investors for this round were not disclosed, it had previously raised $43 million in venture capital in November 2023. Neuralink's valuation was set at approximately $5 billion in June 2023.

Neuralink took a significant step by receiving "breakthrough device" designation from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The brain implants developed by the company have been implanted in three people to date.
Earlier this month, a patient who had lost the ability to speak released a video demonstrating that they could edit YouTube videos using brain signals thanks to the Neuralink implant. This technology aims to open new horizons in the treatment of neurological diseases and provide hope to individuals who have lost their vision and mobility.
