Email protection for WhatsApp on iOS: The app is now more secure
An email verification option is being added to the iOS version of WhatsApp. Users will be able to activate their accounts via verification codes sent to email addresses they specify.
The world's most popular instant messaging application, WhatsApp, made headlines a few months ago with an important update. The feature, coded 2.23.18.19 and detected in the Android beta version, will allow users to perform account verification via email.
According to a report by Eray Kalelioğlu from Webtekno, an important development has occurred regarding this feature. The email verification feature is now also available for iOS users. iPhone owners can use this feature to add an extra layer of security to their WhatsApp accounts.
This is what WhatsApp's new feature looks like:

ONLY ON IOS
With the new iOS version 23.24.70, WhatsApp is drawing attention with a feature offered to users. This feature is located under the Account page. When users enter this section, they will see an option related to their email address. A user who selects this option will enter an actively used email address and then confirm the 6-digit verification code that WhatsApp will send. With these steps, users will be able to link an email address to their WhatsApp accounts. A user who adds an email address to their WhatsApp account can now choose the email verification option when logging into WhatsApp. In this way, a new option has been provided to users to activate their WhatsApp accounts.
SOMETHING SIMILAR WAS DONE BEFORE
WhatsApp had previously announced a feature called "Passkeys" without the need for this feature. The feature, which can be used by Android users, does not require a verification code. This is because it was announced that with Passkeys, using a fingerprint or face scan would be sufficient to log into WhatsApp.
