Famous brand to stop smartphone production

Claims that have been on the agenda for some time regarding the smartphone market have been clarified. Asus management has officially announced that no new mobile devices will be introduced throughout 2026 and that operations in this field will be halted.

DECISION CAME FROM MANAGEMENT

Asus Chairman Jonney Shih announced at a special event held at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center that the company will not offer new models in the mobile device segment. Shih emphasized that this decision is part of Asus's long-term transformation plans.

According to Shih's statements, Asus will shift its R&D and financial resources in the coming period to areas focused on physical artificial intelligence, such as enterprise computing solutions, robotics technologies, and smart glasses. With this strategy, the company's priorities in consumer electronics will be reshaped.

ASSURANCE TO EXISTING USERS

Asus officials reported that software updates, maintenance, and warranty services for smartphones currently on the market will continue. It was specifically stated that technical services will continue so that existing users are not affected by support processes.
