Farewell to Apple ID! What will the new name be?

According to claims raised by sources close to the US-based technology giant Apple, the company is reportedly preparing to change its "Apple ID" system. According to the allegations, the change will be implemented with iOS 18.

Apple ID is a registration system that users utilize to access services such as the App Store or iCloud, and it essentially represents users' accounts at Apple. If the rumors are true, Apple ID will now be called "Apple Account," and this change will be implemented alongside iOS 18. With this change, users will begin to see the term "Apple Account" instead of "Apple ID" in Apple's services.

Apple ID is an understandable term, especially in English-speaking countries. However, different terms may be more understandable in other countries. For example, in countries like Turkey, the term "Account" (Hesap) is used more commonly than "ID." With this change, a more universal term will be used for Apple's services.

More information about Apple's future plans is not currently available. It seems we will have to wait for the WWDC 2024 events for the matter to become clear.
