Microsoft has ended the service of Skype, which had been in operation for over 20 years. User data is being migrated to Microsoft Teams.
Skype, which offered voice and video communication, has been discontinued after more than 20 years of service. Microsoft had announced that it would terminate the services of the application, which was launched in 2003 and reached over 300 million active users in 2010, "in order to organize it in a way that better adapts to the needs of customers."
