Google has updated the app store pages for Photomath, which it acquired in 2022. Photomath now appears as an application owned by Google.
Google has updated the store pages for the popular math-solving app Photomath following its acquisition in 2022. Photomath now appears as an application owned by Google.
The US-based tech giant Google officially acquired Photomath last year. The developer company joined Google following approval from regulatory bodies. Now, Google has taken a significant step regarding Photomath.
The developer for Photomath's Google Play Store and App Store listings has now been updated to Google. If you want to download Photomath today, you will see that the app belongs to Google. This means that Google now officially owns a math problem-solving application.
Photomath is a quite comprehensive app. It offers services across a wide range, allowing you to find detailed answers to math problems you photograph. The app, which can be used in many fields from basic math to algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and statistics, offers more detailed services through an optional subscription package called "Photomath Plus". This package includes features such as animated explanations and more comprehensive problem solutions.
It is important to note that Google already offers services for solving math problems. In this context, the Google Lens service is capable of solving math problems. One might think there could be a conflict between Photomath and Google Lens. However, Google has not yet made a statement on this matter. It is expected, however, that Photomath and Google Lens will likely work in an integrated manner in the future.
