Google Gemini announces two new features that will revolutionize content creation

Google has announced new features for its AI assistant, Gemini.

Following the screen sharing and video response features introduced at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, the "Audio Overview" feature, which allows users to summarize documents via audio, and the "Canvas" feature, which enables interactive collaboration, have now been made available to users.

PODCAST IN A FEW MINUTES

Audio Overview allows users to turn any document into an audio podcast in just a few minutes.

The summaries, voiced by AI, will be offered with two different voice options. This feature was previously available in Google's NotebookLM service and is now being rolled out to all Gemini users.

The feature, which does not require a paid subscription, is currently only supported in English, but Google has announced that it may be available in other languages in the future.

CREATE YOUR OWN CONTENT

Another innovation added to Gemini is Canvas. This feature makes creating and editing content easier. Offering the ability to change the tone, length, and format of texts, Canvas also provides coding support for developers.

It is possible to perform rapid prototyping for web applications, Python scripts, and game projects. Completed projects can be exported to Google Docs with a single click.

OPENED TO USER ACCESS

Both features are currently active for all Gemini users. While Audio Overview is offered only in English, Canvas can be used in all languages.

Google stated that these new features will make content creation and collaboration more efficient.
