Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6), one of the most anticipated games in the world, has become a hot topic not only in the gaming world but also in workplaces. It is estimated that approximately 1.5 million employees in the US may not go to work on the game's release day, November 19.

It is noted that employees who want to experience the game on its first day may use sick leave, annual leave, or accrued paid leave. Posts on social media also highlight that many players are already making leave plans for the release day.

According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, some companies are reviewing employees' paid leave plans in light of the intense interest in GTA 6. It is stated that employers are preparing for potential labor shortages that could arise if a large number of staff take leave on the same day.

As of October, it is reported that the estimated number of pre-orders for GTA 6 has reached 6 million copies. It is noted that the PlayStation 5 stands out in these pre-orders, with orders placed via the console reaching approximately 4.8 million.

The Grand Theft Auto series, which began in 1997, has become one of the biggest brands in the gaming industry over the years. It is recorded that the series' previous game, Grand Theft Auto V, released in 2013, generated approximately 10 billion dollars in revenue for the developer, Rockstar Games.

Known for its open-world structure, Vice City once again takes center stage in the new game of the series. The story of GTA 6 follows two main characters, Jason and Lucia, as they are drawn into the criminal underworld. The fact that Lucia is one of the first female main characters to be featured extensively in the series is also cited as one of the factors increasing interest in the game.
