Güler Sabancı's name used in fraud: Statement from Sabancı

With the development of artificial intelligence technology in Turkey, fraud methods are also diversifying. Scammers, who previously produced fake content using the face and voice of Selçuk Bayraktar, have this time targeted Güler Sabancı, one of the prominent figures of the Sabancı family.

The scammers prepared fake videos containing investment advice using Güler Sabancı's name and images. As this content spread through social media platforms and messaging applications, many people fell into this trap.

Güler Sabancı warned the public in a statement on her social media account, stating that her personal information was used without authorization. Sabancı stated, 'Dear Public, recently, my personal data (name, surname, photograph, video footage, etc.) and the official information (brand, logo, etc.) of Sabancı Holding, where I have served as Chairperson of the Board, have been used without permission to produce fake videos and content using artificial intelligence and similar technologies.'

Emphasizing the need to be cautious against such content, Sabancı requested that only posts made from her official accounts be trusted. She also stated that legal processes have been initiated against the fraud attempts and will be pursued with determination.

It is important for citizens to be more careful against such fraud incidents and to check official sources for suspicious content.
