Spotify, one of the world's largest music platforms, has announced its earnings and the number of its subscribers. The statement revealed that the company's growth in 2024 and the increase in its subscriber count exceeded expectations.
$1.49 BILLION PROFIT IN 2024
According to the statements made by the company, Spotify, which managed to finish the entire year with a profit for the first time in its history, saw its operating profit reach 509 million dollars in the last three months of the year. In 2024 as a whole, a total of 1.49 billion dollars in profit was generated.
USER COUNT STUNS
The company emphasized that it also experienced a major increase in its total number of users worldwide. In the 4th quarter, 35 million monthly active users were added to Spotify, and with the new users, Spotify's total number of users worldwide rose to 675 million. A 12% increase was observed compared to the previous year.
There is also data regarding paid "Premium" subscribers. Despite the price hikes implemented by the company, it experienced growth here as well. In the last quarter, the total number of Premium subscribers increased by 23 million to 263 million.
