Reddit user and video blogger Ethan Zuckerman and the developer of the PushShift service have developed a script that allows them to count all YouTube videos uploaded to the platform since its inception.
THE NUMBER OF UPLOADED VIDEOS HAS EXCEEDED 13 BILLION
The enthusiasts' analysis showed that a total of 13.325 billion videos have been uploaded to YouTube since 2006. It was announced that the highest number of videos—approximately 4 billion—were uploaded in 2023, while the lowest number was uploaded in 2006.
A YOUTUBE VIDEO GETS AN AVERAGE OF 39 VIEWS
Only 4% of all videos have received more than 10 thousand views. 13% were able to get fewer than a thousand views. Approximately 5% of the videos have zero views. The vast majority of YouTube videos also have no likes or comments. On average, a video is viewed 39 times, and the "Recommendations" section features videos that have been played at least 10 thousand times.

The report also shows that the most popular video language on YouTube is English, which accounts for 32 percent of all uploaded clips. Hindi ranks second with a 10.5 percent share. Spanish is in the top three with an 8 percent share. These languages are followed by Arabic and Russian with shares of 6% and 5.6%, respectively.
