Instagram introduces Discord-like chat feature to users
Instagram will soon offer a feature similar to Discord. This innovation will bring people with the same interests together under one roof.
Instagram is working on a new feature that will allow users to create more interactive chat groups around similar interests. Called "Community Chat," this feature will enable users to have a Discord-like experience and bring people interested in the same topics together on a single platform.

INSTAGRAM PLANS TO OFFER A DISCORD-LIKE FEATURE
Although not officially announced, according to screenshots shared by developer Alessandro Paluzzi, Community Chats will consist of groups of up to 250 people. Users will be able to start a chat about a specific topic and decide who can join. Additionally, group administrators will be able to delete messages and remove members from the group when necessary.
Unlike Instagram's existing "Broadcast Channels" feature, this feature will have a more interactive structure. While Broadcast Channels only allow content creators to communicate one-way with their followers, all participants in Community Chats will be able to actively participate in the conversation. Furthermore, it is stated that these groups must comply with specific community guidelines in line with Meta's content moderation policies.
