Instagram's new feature under testing: Shared Reels feed with friends via "Blend"
Instagram has announced a new feature called "Blend" aimed at increasing user interaction and making the "explore" experience more personal. This innovation creates a private discovery space between friends, allowing them to see Reels content that each other likes and shares in a shared feed.
Blend allows two users to come together to create a content feed exclusive to them. When one user invites a friend to Blend, the algorithm analyzes both individuals' interests and provides them with personalized Reels recommendations. In this way, friends can enjoy a fun and intimate discovery experience that appeals to their common interests.
Currently in the testing phase, Blend is expected to be rolled out to all Instagram users soon.
Aiming to increase interaction between friends and make the discovery experience more personal, this innovation seems set to make Instagram a more entertaining platform.
