iOS 18.2 released for iPhones: What features are coming?

iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.2 introduce new Apple Intelligence features such as AI-based image generation.

NEW AI FEATURES COMING WITH IOS 18.2

The new Apple Intelligence features offered to iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16 users with iOS 18.2 are as follows:

Image Playground: You can create fun images in seconds by choosing from animation or illustration options. In addition to being integrated into apps like Messages, this app can also be used as a standalone application.

Genmoji: Design your own custom emojis by combining two or more figures. You can also create a completely new emoji by typing a prompt.

Image wand: Allows you to turn rough sketches into realistic images.

ChatGPT integration: You can get better responses by enabling access to ChatGPT's writing tools and other features.

Visual Intelligence: Working with the Camera Control feature, Visual Intelligence makes it easier to learn about places or interact with information by pointing your iPhone at an object.

In addition to the new Apple Intelligence features, iOS 18.2 also offers various new features for other iPhone models:

Brand new mail app: The Mail app offers advanced features to organize your inboxes. Thanks to the on-device categorization feature, your emails are classified as Primary (personal and time-sensitive messages), Transactions (confirmations and receipts), Updates (news and social notifications), and Promotions (promotional emails and coupons). There is also a new summary view that allows you to see emails from businesses all in one place.

Default app changing: Allows you to change default apps such as Messages and Phone according to your preferences.

Volume limit: You can better manage volume levels with the new Volume Limit control added to the Settings app.

Sharing item location in Find My: Helps you find lost items by easily and securely sharing the location of AirTag or Find My network accessories with trusted third parties.

Natural language search in Apple Music and Apple TV: Allows you to search for content using combinations of genres, moods, artists, years, and other categories.

Favorite categories in Podcasts: By selecting your favorite categories, you can receive special show recommendations that will be easily accessible from your library.

Personalized search in Podcasts: Allows you to quickly reach the most relevant categories and collections curated specifically for you.

Sudoku for News+ puzzles: Sudoku, offered in three difficulty levels, is accessible to News+ subscribers.

Advanced functions for AirPods Pro 2: The Hearing Test feature is supported in Cyprus, Czechia, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Romania, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom. The Hearing Aid feature is also active in the United Arab Emirates.

Pre-market price tracking in Stocks: You can stay up to date by tracking pre-market prices on NASDAQ and NYSE.

Bug fixes: Issues such as recently taken photos not appearing immediately in the All Photos grid and Night Mode photos in iPhone 16 Pro/Pro Max models being distorted during long exposure have been fixed.
