iPhone 6 Plus and iPad Mini 4 are now 'vintage': Apple support has ended
Apple has updated its list of vintage, or obsolete, products. The iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Mini 4, and (PRODUCT)RED versions of the iPhone 8 will no longer receive hardware and software updates.
US-based technology company Apple has made updates to its list of products classified as vintage. With this update, certain devices will no longer receive hardware support.
According to a report by Webtekno, the iPhone 6 Plus, which was released in 2014, is among the new additions to Apple's list of legacy products. No further updates were released for this model following the iOS 13 update, and it has now been included in the “vintage device” category.
Additionally, other products added to Apple's list of vintage products are as follows:
iPad Mini 4
iPhone 8
iPhone 8 Plus
A point that should be specifically noted is that only the (PRODUCT)RED versions of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus models have been added to the vintage products list. Updates continue for other color options.
