Is our data secure on social media?
It has been revealed that cyber attackers have carried out a massive data breach from many social media applications such as LinkedIn, X, and Weibo.
The National Cyber Incident Response Center's (USOM) official X account announced in a post today that many social media applications, including LinkedIn, X, and Weibo, have been victims of a data breach. The disclosed data is truly alarming.

If you are a member of one of the platforms whose data was leaked, you can follow these steps:
- Change your password and ensure that your new password is at least 10 characters long, including uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
- Check whether your accounts have been compromised on the Have I Been Pwned platform.
- Enable two-factor authentication on the platforms where you have memberships.
