Latest PlayStation 5 model to go on sale in November
Sony will launch its new PlayStation 5 console, which is physically smaller and has a higher storage capacity, in Japan on November 10.
According to a statement from Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc, stores in Japan will begin selling the new model PlayStation 5 game consoles as of November 10.
The model without a disk drive will be sold with a price tag of 59,980 yen (402 dollars), and the model with an ultra HD Blu-Ray disk drive will be sold for 66,980 yen (449 dollars).
Designed to be approximately 30 percent smaller than the current model released in November 2019, the new PlayStation 5 model will have a storage capacity of 1 terabyte.
The Japanese company, which will stop selling the older model PlayStation 5s once current stocks are exhausted, announced that overseas sales of the new model will also begin within November.
