Many innovative products were introduced as part of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, one of the world's largest technology events. Chinese-based computer manufacturer Lenovo announced its solar-powered laptop concept, the Yoga Solar PC, at the event.

NEW SOLAR-POWERED CONCEPT
The Yoga Solar PC is equipped with a panel consisting of 84 solar cells placed on the laptop's lid. While this panel provides maximum efficiency from sunlight outdoors, it can also collect energy to a certain extent from indoor lighting. The model is currently in the concept stage, and there is no definitive information on whether it will go into mass production.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS AND CHARGING EFFICIENCY
It is stated that the device provides approximately one hour of video playback time with 20 minutes of sunlight. Additionally, the system features an Intel Lunar Lake processor, 32GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage. In terms of display, it is stated that a 14-inch OLED screen is used.

DESIGN AND ENERGY MANAGEMENT
The concept model is reported to be 15 mm thick and weigh approximately 1.04 kg. Furthermore, the device includes software called Dynamic Solar Tracking, which monitors the current and voltage produced by the solar panel in real-time. This system is said to help use energy in the most efficient way possible.
Lenovo's new concept is considered a step toward the use of alternative energy sources in portable devices. However, there is no definitive statement regarding to what extent the technology can be adapted for daily use or when it will enter mass production.
