LinkedIn moves forward with a major layoff plan
The social professional network and sharing platform LinkedIn has announced that it will lay off 668 employees.
In a statement from LinkedIn, it was stated that the company would adapt its organizational structure and streamline decision-making processes, emphasizing that while these are being carried out, it will continue to invest in strategic priorities and deliver value to members and customers.
IT HAD PREVIOUSLY PARTED WAYS WITH 716 EMPLOYEES
The statement reported that the changes the company will make will result in the reduction of 668 positions in the engineering, product, talent, and finance teams, and noted that support will continue to be provided to employees affected by the change process.
In May, LinkedIn had also announced that it would discontinue its local job-seeking applications in China by August 9 and lay off 716 employees in the country.
