NASA announces: Hubble Space Telescope, in use for 34 years, has malfunctioned
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has announced that the Hubble Space Telescope has malfunctioned.
In a statement released by NASA, it was noted that the Hubble Space Telescope's observation of space has been temporarily halted. It was also recorded that the telescope has been placed into safe mode due to a malfunction in its gyroscope system, and that the telescope is currently inactive.
The statement conveyed that officials are working on what steps need to be taken to resolve the malfunction in the Hubble Space Telescope.
It is stated that the Hubble Space Telescope, which was placed into orbit in 1990, could still continue to make discoveries with one or two functioning gyroscopes.
