New features for YouTube Premium: Offline Shorts viewing is here
YouTube, the world's most important video streaming platform, has announced new features for its premium users. Among the newly announced features for YouTube Premium subscribers, who already enjoy ad-free video viewing, the most notable is the ability to watch Shorts offline.
Visited by millions of people every day, YouTube has introduced new features as part of its Premium service. Among the many new features unveiled by YouTube, the most prominent is an improvement that allows users to watch Shorts (short-form videos) even when they are offline.

WHICH FEATURES ARE COMING TO YOUTUBE PREMIUM?
According to YouTube's announcement, Premium subscribers can now access 256kbps audio quality for a clearer and deeper sound experience in music videos.
YouTube has introduced Picture-in-Picture (PiP) and Smart Downloads features specifically for the iOS operating system. The Picture-in-Picture (PiP) feature allows users to browse other apps simultaneously while watching YouTube Shorts videos.

HOW WILL SHORTS VIDEOS BE WATCHED OFFLINE?
Another feature announced by YouTube, 'Smart Downloads', will allow users to watch recommended Shorts videos offline by downloading them automatically. This way, users will be able to watch short videos even in areas where the internet connection is weak.

The new features for YouTube Premium users are listed as follows;
256kbps high-quality audio for more clarity and depth in music videos.
For iOS users, the ability to browse other apps while watching Shorts videos, and features to automatically download recommended Shorts videos for offline viewing have been introduced.
The "jump ahead" feature, which allows users to quickly skip to the best parts of videos already available on mobile devices, has come to the web.
It was also announced that playback speeds extended up to four times, currently available on mobile devices, will be coming soon.
