New Instagram version released: Battery consumption is now lower
An Instagram update that resolves the battery consumption issue for Android users has been released. With the new version, device battery life is extended.
Following a software update for Google Pixel devices in May, users noticed that their phone battery life was rapidly depleting. This situation led to an investigation of apps running in the background, and it was determined that the issue stemmed from the older version of Instagram.
Instagram has released its new version that solves this problem on the Play Store. This update, numbered 382.0.0.49.84, eliminates the battery consumption issue.
Users can check if their app is up to date by long-pressing the Instagram icon and checking the version number in the "App info" section. If the update is not visible, your device may have already switched to this version.
UNCERTAINTY REMAINS FOR OTHER DEVICES
The issue is known to specifically affect the Pixel 6, Pixel 7, Pixel 8, and Pixel 9 series. However, it is not yet clear whether this situation is limited only to Pixel devices or if it affects all Android devices.
It is stated that with the new version, unnecessary background battery consumption is prevented and battery life returns to normal.
