Pentagon signs $200 million contract with OpenAI
The Pentagon has signed a $200 million artificial intelligence development agreement with OpenAI for national security needs.
The U.S. Department of Defense has entered into a $200 million agreement with OpenAI, one of the leading companies in the field of artificial intelligence, to develop AI prototypes for use in national security matters.
In a statement released by the Pentagon, it was noted that this collaboration aims to develop innovative AI solutions across various security areas, including warfare and corporate operations.
The work to be carried out under the agreement is scheduled to be completed in July 2026. The U.S. Department of Defense's Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office will be responsible for managing these projects.
