Quietly withdrawing from the market: Smartphone sales have ended
Japanese technology giant Sony has officially ended its smartphone sales operations in Finland. It is alleged that the company is also preparing to quietly withdraw from other major countries in the European market.
Japan-based technology giant Sony has taken its first concrete step as it continues its decline in the smartphone sector, specifically in Finland. The company has officially announced that it has completely stopped smartphone sales in the country.
Speaking to the Finland-based news platform SuomiMobiili, Sony officials announced that Xperia models will no longer be sold directly in Finland.
OTHER EUROPEAN COUNTRIES ARE ALSO ON THE LIST
Following the withdrawal in Finland, eyes have turned to other major European markets. On Sony's official websites for Germany, France, Spain, and the United Kingdom, many models, including the new flagship Xperia 1 VII, are now marked as "out of stock" or "not available."
