US technology company Amazon has made its generative AI-powered shopping assistant Rufus available to some of its customers in the US.
In a statement made by Amazon, it was emphasized that the company has been widely using artificial intelligence for over 25 years to enhance customer experience, and it was recalled that a series of new generative AI-powered features were introduced in the Amazon store last year.
The statement provided examples of the company's use of artificial intelligence and noted that Rufus was launched today based on these developments.
It was stated that Rufus has been trained on Amazon's extensive product catalog, customer reviews, community Q&As, and general information from the web, and that it answers customer questions about various shopping needs and products, provides comparisons, and makes recommendations based on the context of the conversation.
The statement indicated that Rufus is being offered today as a beta version to a small group of customers in the US on Amazon's mobile app, and that the AI assistant will be gradually rolled out to other customers in the country in the coming weeks.
