According to a report by Webtekno, the feature in question prevents screen retention by shifting static elements on the screen by a few millimeters.

Samsung has been struggling with the screen burn-in issue for a long time. This problem, which is particularly common on AMOLED screens, has been a source of frustration for users.

Samsung has released a new update to address this issue. With the One UI 6.1 update, the screen burn-in protection feature has been activated on the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and Galaxy Tab S9 series phones.

Thanks to this feature, static elements on the screen are shifted by a few millimeters to prevent screen retention.
