Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim test report: How close is it to expectations?

The countdown has officially begun for the Galaxy S25 series, which Samsung will introduce at its next Galaxy Unpacked event. As you may recall, Apple is expected to introduce the iPhone 17 Air model this year. In response, Samsung has been in the news with reports that it is developing the Galaxy S25 Slim model. Most recently, the Galaxy S25 Slim was spotted in performance tests just before its launch.

SAMSUNG GALAXY S25 SLIM TESTED BEFORE RELEASE

Claims that Samsung will add a new member to its flagship S series are gaining strength. To recap, the Galaxy S25 Slim was previously confirmed by leaked Galaxy S25 images, and it was suggested that it would have a design similar to the S25 Plus. Its most notable feature is said to be its thin and lightweight structure. According to the listings, the Galaxy S25 Slim has been tested with 12 GB of RAM and Android 15-based One UI 7.0.

Samsung's new flagship, the Galaxy S25 Slim, is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. This chipset offers a clock speed of 4.47 GHz for performance cores and 3.53 GHz for efficiency cores. In the standard version, this speed is limited to 4.32 GHz. In early tests, the Galaxy S25 Slim scored 3,005 in the single-core test and 6,945 in the multi-core test. For comparison, the previous generation Galaxy S24 Ultra achieved 2,234 and 6,807 points in the same tests, respectively. However, it is important to remember that these scores belong to prototype samples of the devices.

It will take a little more time to see how the Galaxy S25 Slim's thin design will affect thermal efficiency. The phone is claimed to be thinner than 7 mm, and it will become clear over time how this will affect the device's performance and heating status.

EXPECTED FEATURES OF THE SAMSUNG GALAXY S25 SLIM

According to the information obtained so far, the Galaxy S25 Slim is expected to be introduced at the Galaxy Unpacked event to be held on January 22. The phone, which is said to come with a 6.66-inch screen, appears to have a battery capacity ranging between 4,700 mAh and 5,000 mAh despite its thin design.
