Samsung Galaxy Z Fold, introduced in 2019, will no longer receive updates
Samsung is ending update support for its first foldable screen phone, the Galaxy Z Fold.
The end of the road has arrived for the first-generation Galaxy Z Fold, which Samsung launched in 2019 and which drew attention with its features. According to the statement made by the company, the phone will no longer even receive security updates.
UPDATES CUT FOR A NEARLY 5-YEAR-OLD PHONE
Samsung, which is quite ambitious in the foldable screen phone market, had attracted attention with its Galaxy Z Fold model. The phone last received the Android 12 update. It was announced that the phone, which continued to receive security updates afterward, will no longer receive those either as of November.
If a very large and critical security vulnerability emerges, an update for the phone will only be released in that event.
