Scientists discover a massive structure in space

Scientists from the University of Central Lancashire in the UK have announced the discovery of a massive ring-shaped structure in space that challenges fundamental assumptions about cosmology. This discovery was announced at a meeting of the American Astronomical Society held in New Orleans.

The structure, dubbed the "Big Ring," is located approximately 9.2 billion light-years away from Earth. It is stated that the structure has a diameter of 1.3 billion light-years and a circumference of approximately 4 billion light-years. This massive structure cannot be seen with the naked eye, but it was noted that if it were visible, it would appear about 15 times the size of the Moon when viewed from Earth.

Alexia Lopez, a PhD student at UCLan, stated that the data regarding the structure comes from a very great distance and from a time when the universe was approximately 1.8 times smaller than it is now. This new discovery reveals that the structure is of a size that cosmologists did not consider possible for such structures to exist according to current theories.
