According to a report by Emirhan Keleşoğlu from Webtekno, Google Chrome, the world's most widely used web browser, is facing a current security vulnerability. This flaw was discovered by CloudSEK and Hudson Rock. It is stated that a piece of malware called Lumma Infostealer can compromise user account security through the cookies used in Google Chrome's ad recommendations.

This malware has a mechanism that performs account verification via cookies. To infect users' computers, it can deceive users through clickbait, phishing attacks, innocent-looking links, emails, and similar methods. For this reason, it is important to be careful with suspicious links and messages from unknown sources while browsing the internet.

Hudson Rock founder Alon Gal states that this malware can perform account verification every time by using a specific format of cookies. Cookies are normally used to track user activity and make advertisements more effective. However, this vulnerability allows malicious actors to use these cookies to compromise account security.
