Suzuki halts production in Europe

Automobile manufacturers have recently been in the news for halting production. Last week, Tesla paused its production in Germany. Additionally, Volvo also announced that it would stop some of its production on the continent. The reason behind these decisions was disruptions in the supply chain.

SUZUKI HALTS PRODUCTION

Now, a similar decision has come from another company. Suzuki announced that it has paused production at its factory in Hungary.

According to the statement, Suzuki's decision to pause production will be in effect between January 15-21. It will resume after the one-week break. In a statement given to Reuters, the company expressed that they made the decision to halt production because there were delays in the shipment of engines coming from Japan. In other words, just like the others, this decision was made due to supply issues.

The companies' decision to pause production stems from the attacks carried out against ships in the Red Sea. The events here are disrupting shipments and harming international trade. Naturally, automobile companies are also being affected by this situation.
