Tesla unveils new Cybertruck model: Fewer features, more range with the RWD model!
Technology company Tesla has unveiled its new Cybertruck model. The model, which has a longer range capacity than its predecessor, also comes with a slightly higher price tag compared to its peers.
According to Donanımhaber, Tesla has added a new rear-wheel drive (RWD) model to its Cybertruck series.
Offered with a price tag of 70,000 dollars, this version is 8,000 dollars more expensive than the previously announced 62,000 dollar RWD model. However, it is notable that the new model offers a longer range capacity than the previous one.
The new model's single-motor rear-wheel drive structure offers a range of 563 kilometers (350 miles). This range suggests that the vehicle is equipped with the same battery pack.
It is known that similar batteries are also used in the dual-motor Cybertruck and the high-performance Cyberbeast models currently on sale.
At the same time, users will be able to opt for a "soft tonneau cover" accessory for 750 dollars, which can increase the range to 583 kilometers (362 miles).

WHAT ARE THE HARDWARE LIMITATIONS OF THE NEW VERSION?
This new version sacrifices some hardware features. Elements such as the rear light bar, rear screen, tilted outlets, adaptive suspension, and electric hard tonneau cover are not included in this model. Tesla announced that deliveries for this version will begin in June.
TESLA'S NEW GOAL: ATTRACTIVE HIGH-PRICED MODELS
The new version appears to aim at making the 80,000 dollar Cybertruck model more attractive. The 10,000 dollar price difference is offset by the dual motor, advanced suspension system, and more hardware and comfort features.
Whether Tesla will release the previous 62,000 dollar RWD model remains uncertain.
The fact that the new model offers a longer range strengthens claims that Tesla may have abandoned the production of low-capacity batteries. How much interest this simplified Cybertruck model will receive will become clear over time.
