The feature WhatsApp users have been waiting for has arrived
WhatsApp has introduced a new translation feature that allows users to instantly translate messages in foreign languages.
The popular messaging app WhatsApp has begun rolling out a translation feature developed to overcome language barriers. Thanks to this innovation, which is available on both iOS and Android devices, incoming messages can be instantly translated into different languages.
Users will be able to translate text into their desired language by long-pressing on a message. For Android users, an automatic translation option will be available, allowing entire chats to be translated automatically.
TURKISH SUPPORT ON IOS DEVICES
While supported languages include English, Spanish, Hindi, Portuguese, Russian, and Arabic, a wider range of language options, including Turkish, is offered for iOS users. Since translation processes are performed on the device, privacy is maintained, and fast results are achieved through downloaded language packs.
This feature can be used in one-on-one chats as well as group conversations and Channel updates. This will allow users communicating in different languages to interact more comfortably.
WhatsApp announced that the translation feature is currently only active on mobile devices and that it has not yet been determined when it will come to Web and Windows applications. It was noted that the update is being distributed gradually and therefore may not reach all users at the same time.
