The Ax-3 crew, which includes Turkey's first space traveler Alper Gezeravcı, said goodbye to their families before the launch scheduled for midnight at 00:49 TSI and headed to the SpaceX spacecraft that will carry them to the International Space Station (ISS).

THE SPACE JOURNEY HAS BEGUN

The Ax-3 mission was successfully launched to the International Space Station at 00:49 Turkish time from Launch Complex 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida via the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft.

In Axiom Space's "Ax-3" mission, Alper Gezeravcı is accompanied by Michael Lopez-Alegria from the US, Pilot Walter Villadei from the Italian Air Force, and Marcus Wandt from Sweden.
