The worst phone models have been revealed

The smartphone industry has opened the door to many innovations in recent years. However, not every model achieved success; some failed to meet consumer expectations and were etched into technology history as disappointments. Among the 13 smartphone models considered the most unsuccessful from the past to the present, there are some unexpected names.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7, introduced in 2016, is remembered for the battery explosions and fires that occurred. While the device was recalled worldwide, it was also banned from being taken onto airplanes by airline companies. This fiasco was recorded as a heavy blow to Samsung's brand reputation and finances.

Another notable example is the 2014 iPhone 6. Despite high sales figures, the fact that the phone could easily bend became a subject of mockery on social media and sparked the "Bendgate" controversy. The discussions grew with allegations that Apple was aware of the weak body design but released it anyway.

The notable disaster of 2008, the BlackBerry Storm, lost the trust of users who could not give up physical keyboards due to issues such as slowness in its touchscreen and the lack of Wi-Fi support.

The Samsung Galaxy Fold, introduced in 2019, wanted to be a pioneer in the foldable device revolution, but it led to screen malfunctions due to users accidentally peeling off the screen film and dust entering the hinge area. The model, which did not receive the expected interest in the market, is remembered for its various technical flaws as much as its innovation.

One of the most sensational models on the list is the Escobar Fold. This device, which bears the name of Pablo Escobar's brother, was sent to some famous video bloggers as a used Galaxy Fold model with a new logo, while paying customers were sent only boxes or books.

The Amazon Fire Phone was a model developed by the company focusing on its own services and was criticized for the lack of Google services. When its high price was added to this, it could not hold its place in the market.

The Nokia Lumia 900, which is among the unsuccessful phones, was abandoned by users despite its stylish design due to the inadequacy of the application store and Microsoft withdrawing its support.

Models that claimed to be innovative, such as the HTC Evo 3D, could not take 3D imaging technology beyond headaches and eye strain in practice. When battery and camera performance were also insufficient, users turned to alternatives.

RED's Hydrogen One model, known for its camera technology, did not offer the promised modular attachments despite its $1,300 price tag and failed expectations as a standard Android phone.

The Kyocera Echo, which tried to experiment with dual-screen phones, could not ensure user satisfaction due to the clumsiness of its hinge design and the slowness of its operating system. Battery problems shortened the life of the device.

The Palm Phone was designed with the goal of being an auxiliary device alongside a main phone. However, it turned out that this idea was not attractive enough for users in practice.

The Solana Saga, highlighted by its Web3 and blockchain features, drew attention with its $1,000 price tag. However, it could not reach wide audiences due to hardware insufficiency and the fact that it only appealed to the crypto community.

The iPhone 16e, one of the most recent failures, is shown as one of Apple's rare strategic mistakes in recent years with its classic large notch, insufficient camera hardware, and design that lags behind its advanced competitors.

The fact that even mobile technology giants can take wrong steps from time to time and sign off on major failures is an important reality highlighted by this list.
