This iPhone feature prevents motion sickness
Apple has integrated a new visual balance system into iPhones to reduce issues such as nausea and dizziness experienced during car journeys. This system strengthens the harmony between the brain and the balance system using dots that move along the edges of the screen.
For those who feel uncomfortable while looking at their mobile phones during long journeys, Apple has added a new feature to iPhones. This innovation, called 'Vehicle Motion Cues,' aims to reduce the sensory conflict that occurs especially during car trips. Experts state that motion sickness is caused by a mismatch between visual information from the eyes and balance signals received from the inner ear. Apple's solution is to balance this discrepancy with visual feedback.

Activating this feature is quite simple: by following the path Settings > Accessibility > Motion > Show Vehicle Motion Cues, you can select the 'On' or 'Automatic' option. Additionally, users have the ability to quickly turn this function on and off with a shortcut.
While introducing this new feature, Apple stated that they aim to reduce the feeling of discomfort that people using iPhones during travel may experience. They explained that the moving dots appearing on the edges of the screen help alleviate this situation by visually reflecting the vehicle's movement. The company also added that these cues work without affecting the device's usage and that the best results are achieved when the user is sitting facing forward in the vehicle. However, they specifically emphasized that this feature was developed only for passengers and that drivers should absolutely not use it for safety reasons.
