TikTok changes content format to compete with YouTube
TikTok was a platform that gained popularity with short videos. However, the platform has recently started making changes to its content format. These changes suggest that TikTok may be starting to resemble YouTube.
TikTok is transforming into a structure similar to YouTube by encouraging its creators to share longer, horizontal videos.
According to a report by The Verge, TikTok will encourage creators to produce horizontal videos longer than one minute.
With this change, creators will be rewarded if they increase engagement within 72 hours after publishing their videos.
