In his speech at the launch event held at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium, Trump described the new platform not just as a website, but as a step toward redesigning the way the federal government operates.

Arguing that bureaucratic processes in Washington have become increasingly complex, Trump said the government should have a more practical structure. Stating that citizens will be able to access the information and transactions they need more easily, quickly, and effortlessly with the new system, Trump said, "With America.gov, the entire US government will fit in the palm of your hand."

Trump stated that citizens will be able to access federal services through a single entry point instead of searching through thousands of websites, rules, and forms. He said that those who use AI tools like Grok, Gemini, or ChatGPT will quickly grasp the operating logic of America.gov.

HOW WILL THE PLATFORM WORK?

Following the presentation, Trump signed a directive titled "Facilitating Access to Government Services Through America.gov." Trump announced that all federal agencies will be required to integrate their public-facing services directly with America.gov as soon as possible.

According to information shared by the White House, America.gov is designed as a single, secure, and service-oriented digital entry point. Users will be able to ask questions in plain, everyday language, receive up-to-date answers, and, where technically feasible, complete their transactions without having to go to different agency websites.

Plans are in place to add services such as passport renewal and Medicare enrollment to the platform later this year. As the integration of federal agencies progresses, the number of services offered through America.gov is expected to increase.
