vivo's affordable and powerful Y100 5G smartphone unveiled

vivo has added another device to its Y100 series. The phone, named Y100 5G, is positioned in the mid-range segment and stands out from its siblings with certain features. vivo, which is also popular in Turkey, has added a new phone to the Y100 series, which currently has three members. Positioned in the mid-range, the Y100 5G was officially introduced in Indonesia yesterday.

The Y100 5G is offered at an affordable price but possesses some features that distinguish it from other models in the series. Coming with a punch-hole screen design and a triple camera setup, the device features a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The maximum brightness of the screen is stated to be 1200 nits. Additionally, it includes an in-display fingerprint sensor.

On the processor side, the mid-range Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 is used. This chipset is the newest processor in the series and is built on a 4 nm process. The device is supported by 8 GB of RAM. Storage options are offered as 128 GB and 256 GB.

The triple camera system on the back consists of a 50 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a flicker sensor. On the front, there is an 8 MP selfie camera embedded in the screen.

The vivo Y100 5G is equipped with a 5000 mAh capacity battery with 80W wired fast charging support. It will come out of the box with the Android 14-based Funtouch OS 14 operating system. It also has features such as dual SIM, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.0. The device is offered in black and purple color options, but there is no information yet regarding its arrival in other markets.
