WhatsApp continues to work on event planning and management features for one-on-one chats.
The event creation feature, which was previously only available for group chats and communities, is now becoming available for individual chats as well. This new feature, spotted in the Android beta version of WhatsApp, will be rolled out to a wider user base over time. This will allow users to create events, set reminders, and manage their personal calendars directly through WhatsApp without needing to use a third-party calendar application.
This new event planning feature from WhatsApp aims to offer more functionality in individual chats. For example, if you are working on a joint project with a colleague, you can create the deadline you have set as an event on WhatsApp. This way, both parties will receive a reminder on the specified date, and the project will be completed on time. Similarly, you can also organize your personal plans through WhatsApp.
WHEN WILL THE NEW FEATURE BE OPEN TO ALL USERS?
WhatsApp plans to release the event planning feature, currently being tested in the beta version, to the general public soon. The start of beta testing indicates that this feature could reach a wide audience in the near future.
This innovation moves WhatsApp beyond being just a messaging app by allowing users to create and manage events in individual chats. By aiming to offer a more functional and integrated communication experience for users, this feature seeks to turn WhatsApp into an organizational tool.
