WhatsApp brings 'search messages by date' feature to Android devices

After the company announced that it was working on implementing a new sidebar and a group chat filter, particularly to improve user experience and make it easier for users to find their conversations quickly, it has now emerged that it is developing an option to search for messages quickly by selecting a date.

TO BE IMPLEMENTED FOR ANDROID USERS

The highly anticipated feature was first introduced to iOS, Mac, and web versions. The feature, which has been used on these devices for a long time, is now starting to be released for Android users as well.

Zuckerberg stated that Android users will now be able to use the "search by date" feature in both individual and group chats. It is not yet clear on which date the feature, which is still being worked on, will arrive on Android devices.

As you can see in the screenshot, with this feature, WhatsApp offers a calendar option that will allow users to open a date picker panel to make it easier to search for a message shared on a specific date.

The difficulty many users face in finding a message despite knowing the date or period it was sent is now eliminated with this feature.
