Xiaomi is ending update support for some phone models
As of June 2025, Xiaomi will stop providing update support for certain Redmi and POCO models. This situation may leave these devices at risk regarding security and compatibility.
Chinese technology giant Xiaomi has announced that it will end update support for specific smartphone models.
Starting from June 2025, the Redmi Note 11T Pro, Redmi Note 11T Pro+, Redmi K50i, POCO X4 GT, POCO C40, Redmi K40S, and POCO F4 models will no longer receive Android updates.
The end of update support does not only mean that these devices will not receive new Android versions. It may also lead to issues such as security vulnerabilities remaining unpatched, incompatibility with new applications, and system bugs not being fixed. This situation could leave the devices vulnerable to cyberattacks.
Recommended steps for users include backing up their devices, protecting their data, and, if possible, switching to a new device. Additionally, it may be useful to regularly check Xiaomi's end-of-life list to learn in advance which devices will be out of support and when.
