YouTube has announced that it will tighten its policies regarding videos featuring online gambling sites. Soon, YouTubers will not even be able to mention the names of these sites. The company has decided to tighten its policies on this issue.

GAMBLING SITES CANNOT BE MENTIONED

According to the statement, it will be forbidden for content creators to even mention online gambling sites. To be able to mention them verbally, the site in question must have received approval from Google.

AGE RESTRICTIONS MAY BE IMPOSED

In addition to verbally mentioning the names of online gambling sites, it will also be prohibited to include logos and links of unapproved online gambling sites in videos. The statement indicates that the new rules will come into effect on March 19.

YouTube also stated in its announcement that age restrictions will be introduced. Accordingly, users under the age of 18 will not be able to access videos containing online gambling. Sports betting and content involving physical gambling will not be included in these restrictions. Apart from these, YouTube also noted in its statement that content from gambling sites that promise "guaranteed wins" may be removed directly, regardless of whether they are approved or not.
