12.5% stake in PSG sold for 4.25 billion euros
A 12.5% stake in the French club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has been sold to the US-based firm Arctos Partners for 4.25 billion euros.
In a statement released by the club, it was noted that Arctos Partners would accelerate PSG's global growth, stating, "We are collaborating with Arctos Partners to continue expanding into new markets, engage with fans from different geographies, and explore sports investment opportunities worldwide."
PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi noted that the share sale is an important milestone for the club, adding, "This agreement will make a major contribution to the continued success and growth of our club."
Arctos Partners, which has invested in more than 20 organizations in the sports sector including the MLS and NBA, also purchased minority shares in the Formula 1 team Aston Martin in November.
